Lunch in the Alps

Sorry that it's Tuesday and I'm still posting from Garmish ...
We took so many pictures that it makes for more fun than another typical day in Munich. Today (Tuesday) Debbie and I did climb to the top of Alte Peter in downtown, but that's for a later post.

OK, back to Garmish ... here we are at about 1300m above sea level!  Thank God for cable cars!  Although a lot of people were around with their trekking poles. When Germans do "sport," there is NO playing around ... it's all out!

Here's the little self-serve restaurant where we took our lunch break.  It was so nice to drink a "radler" overlooking the Alps!

The deck was really quite crowded, but Debbie managed to sneak into a table while Chris and I were in line to get the chow. Debbie was able to get the LAST of the daily specials: a knudlen in a mushroom sauce. I had the grilled bratwurst with kartoffelsalad .  B&K ate buttered spaghetti.
"When is Daddy going to get here with the food?"

All done with lunch, now it's back down to Garmish for the long walk (although we didn't know it at the time) to the Parnachklamm ...
Stay tuned!
