"I am 16 going on 17..." We wanted to dance in the famous gazebo, but apparently, a while ago some 80 yr old woman broke her hip re-enacting the scene and they stopped letting people go inside. :(
Captain Von Trapp & Maria were married in this church in the movie! Isn't it beautiful?
This is the mountain where Maria taught the children how to sing "Doe Re Mi". It's in a beautiful little town called Mondsee, where the church above was also located.
We are heading out to the Black Forest early tomorrow for the next two days, so we promise to post the rest of the "Sound of Music" tour on Saturday. "The sun has gone to bed and so must I, so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye!!!!"
