On Friday we took a stroll with Dieter to the Obermentzing area, located a little west of Muenchen. Our destination took us to Pasing, then we hiked along a beautiful canal.
And we hiked some more ...
Finally, the canal split into a slower canal and a raging chute, complete with a system of locks.
We finally caught our fist glimpse of the old castle from afar. We would go to the castle after first visiting a very old 14th century church that was not generally open to the public. We hoped that Dieter would indeed know how to get the keys to open the church.
This area outside of Muenchen was quite rural. These 4-legged friends were located in a little farmyard right by the street. This area was just perfect for a pleasant walk in the afternoon.
