You can guess where we are headed now ... the crematorium complex. One crosses out of a rear gate and over a small canal to this area. This stone asks one to think about the victims who perished here.
This is an early photo (taken illegally ... and at great risk to the photographer) of Dachau's crematorium in operation.
This is what is referred to as the old crematorium, but it soon became apparent that a new complex had to be built to accommodate the bodies that were rapidly piling up.
Hard to say any more here ...
