Kate's Research Project

Since we started "riding the rails" here in Germany, Kate began talking about how much she like railroad tracks. Not trains. Tracks.  Wherever we traveled, she asked us to take pictures of train tracks ... then tram-tracks here in the city.

Once she read that there was an MVG Transportation Museum in Muenchen she declared that she "couldn't finish her research until she went to the train track museum."

This museum isn't open all the time, just on random Sundays.  We finally made it there, dodging the Munich Marathon that disrupted all of the tram lines.

Kate got right to work with her pen and her notebook ... the elephant (Kailey) was with her all the while.
And she worked some more on her research.
And worked some more (maybe she will make a good graduate student)! It's in her genes.

Finally the work was done.  She took her notes and checked out all of the wheels and tracks.  Now we will wait for the final thesis to be completed.

I'm so glad that Kate finally got to the museum and was able to continue her research! I know that it was very serious business when we were there. Yay Katie!!
