We go to the Residenz!

B, K & I traveled this morning to the Muenchen Residenz ... the seat of the Wittelsbach Dynasty for over 400 years.  A lot of this building was damaged in WW2, but they have done a great job restoring the area.  We started off with audio guides, and that got old in about 2 minutes ... I took them back.  B&K wore their nice dresses and decided that we would be a "king and his two princesses" and they just decided who had which crown, who lived in which bedroom, etc.  Forget history we just had fun!

B decided to count all of the place settings at this table ... there are 82.

They were mildly disgusted at the Room of Relics as they didn't dig the whole throw a "holy" bone into a glass tube and revere it thing ...

They decided that this was the statue of "daddy the king."  Hey, I like the sword and the dude is fairly studly so what the heck!

They fought over whose crown this would be ... I think they settled on K's!

But B got these diamonds ... her favorite is the first one in the second row with the massive blue diamond and the sheep-thing under it.

Overall, a good way to have fun for 2.5 hours on a cold Muenchen morning!
