Lutherstadt, the city church

Here is the regular old "city" church in Lutherstadt Wittenberg ... the church where Luther was married, where his kids were baptized and where he preached the majority of his sermons.  This church is pretty much unchanged from his time, as Wittenberg was undamaged in WW2.

The view from the seats ... one can imagine Dr Luther preaching at the front of the church.

Numerous plaques and markers dot the walls, columns and floors of this venerable church.

The view to the left of the double steeples ... we couldn't climb them.  A pity.  Actually no great loss as the fog was thick at about 30 feet!

This picture gives more a sense of the size and the structure of the building.
