Here is the Dresden Frauenkirche. Again, almost totally destroyed in WW2 and rebuilt in later years. The rebuilding of the dome itself was a monumental feat ... it makes you wonder how the people in the "old days" could come up with so many marvels of engineering! Also makes one give pause to the idea that "modern" people are so much smarter than those of yesteryear ...
The view from the courtyard ... we had to wait in line to get into this church. They also have a Martin Luther statue!

A cloudy day ... that can't be helped.
The inside was so airy and light ... it gave a feeling of being transported up into ... maybe glory! Lots of people in this church ... we think there was a backlog due to a wedding that finished as we were arriving. I almost had to thump another German who ran over Kate. More about German rudeness later ... Deb and I are reaching a critical mass over dealing with rude Germans ... but I digress.
