Salzburg

On Tuesday morning we had our first class trip ... to Salzburg, Austria.  Yea, it's the Sound of Music city.  The first part of the trip was a walking tour by one of the German teachers, Leo Brux.  He gave us an overview of the history of this amazing and once-powerful Baroque city.  The architecture was stunning and showed the overall power held by the prince-archbishop over the regular folks in this city.   The revenue from the salt mines gave them such a vast store of wealth that they could simply build, and build, and build!
