Rollin' into Regensburg.

Another Saturday, another Bayern Tickt (travel to and fro anywhere in Bavaria; five people for 27 euros). That's living large!

Today we were off to Regensburg and we were joined by Katie Adams, one of the students and my BIOL 242 TA for the semester.  Regensburg is a little off the beaten tourist path, and last night I found a guide in the apartment that laid out 60 daytrips in Germany; Regensburg was on the list, so I photocopied the map and walking tour.  No problems.
:)

Overall impression: great city, especially when the skies cleared in the afternoon and the sunlight poured down!  The main Dom (cathedral) was just so impressive and there are tons of Roman ruins around the city.  We ate lunch at a place that has been serving food since the 12th century, we walked over the oldest stone bridge in Europe, and we walked in a church where worship has been going on for over 1000 years. Wild.
