Directly after lunch (and I do mean DIRECTLY), we strolled over to the Cafe Tomaselli the cafe that Mozart used to visit for afternoon cakes and tea. It was also mentioned by our host, that all of the Guilford professors (who, perhaps, are of the same genius as Mozart?) who lead this trip must take "kaffeetrinken" in said cafe. You may notice my drink in the last picture, it is NOT bier! It is a wonderful drink called an "apfelschorle" that is sparkling mineral water with apple juice ... delicious. I could main-line those things. You can also see how sunny our day in Salzburg was ... normally it's an overcast city, but it was mentioned that I "must have connections to St Peter." A reference to the fact that the ENTIRE country of Germany was engulfed by rain, with the exception of Berchtesgaden.
If only they knew ...
:)
