Wow, what a two days in Wuerzburg! We left Muenchen early with Kat on the ICE (express train) and had a super meal (except for B&K getting their food after the rest of the company was done eating ...). Then a nice guided tour around the city where Gerd and Gabi (Kat's parents) grew up and were married. Everything was amazingly beautiful, considering the town was almost completely bombed out at the end of WW2 by a raid of dubious significance. Wuerzburg had no industry or command structure to speak of, but the British planned a raid designed to "break" the will of the German people ... while the war was practically over; things to ponder in history.
Since I took almost 300 pictures (and Debbie doubled that number!), I will simply place some pictures in various new posts.
Oh, the shipments STILL haven't arrived. They are somewhere in Muenchen in a truck with a driver who can't figure out that "Munich 80796" is the same as "80796 Muenchen." Time to find a new job Skippy.
