The Kaiserburg, et al

Located at the top of the city, the Imperial Palace was built in the 16th century.  It has gardens in the back and an imposing series of ramparts and battlements on the front.  Nuernburg still has over 95% of its original fortifying wall still in place. Pretty interesting.  Another city with many famous churchs, the twin-spired Lorenzkirche is imposing, but they charged you to be able to take pictures inside ... the only church (so far) that we have had that occur.  It wasn't all that cool inside anyway! At the end of the day we found a cool Christian bookstore with the most popular titles translated into Germany.  Yes, we got a cross from the wall in NC.

Off to the airport this morning and I had another student miss the connection to Germany thanks to a delay in Rhode Island (thanks US Airways)!
