In the form of toilet problems. Yes, that is very bad.
I went to flush the toilet and ... nothing. As you can see from the picture, German toilets have a box on the wall where the water is held until it goes into the toilet. The box was dry and no water was flowing into the box. That's bad.
Since it was midnight here (6PM USA), I called to the landlady and left a message about the problem. She returned my call early here (and late in the USA) so we are working on getting a plumber to stop by the place.
Until then, I am the "bucket brigade" from the bathroom to the box on the wall.
One prayer request: our boxes are STILL in Leipzig under this stupid "clearance delay" and we don't know what that means. I have all of my books for the semester, personal items, medicines, movies, etc for the family. We need those boxes to get moving!
Thanks,
Bryan
**UPDATE** we got the plumber to come and to fix the toilet! The other one is that the delay in Leipzig is that someone thinks some of our stuff needs to be taxed. Hmmm.
**UPDATE 2** Tonight we had dinner with two of the Munich faculty members at (Limburgs get ready to get jealous) ... The Kartoffelhaus. The food is just sooooooooooo amazing. Yes, the Walters and Walls will get to go there when they come to Munich! The weird thing is that the owner remembers the Limburgs and especially what Elin liked to eat. We are the new Limburgs here at Hohenzollernplatz!
