Evening in Neubiberg

After the gardens, we traveled to Neubiberg (a suburb of Muenchen) for a afternoon kaffeetrinken with Frau Volz, our German host family coordinator.  What a nice afternoon with some wonderful German friends.  She gave us so many fine German food, drink, bread, and treated the girls so kindly.  Yep, those will be the Brendley bikes.  We were ready to take them home tonight, but Kate's tire had a huge hole in it!  We will head back later to try to get them home.  Then we have to name our bikes; the girls are convinced that people in Europe have to name their bikes.  After the initial sweets, we then moved on to salami, cheese, Greek olives stuff with almonds, bread, tasty German Dorito-like-chips, and pretzels with butter. Oh, and German bubbly wine (it's not champagne, that is French ... as we were told).
