A new kind of hooch!

Sorry to the Walls, Walters, and Paiges ... we didn't discover this hooch until this last trip.  It wouldn't really have mattered because it is pretty much only in the north.

It is called Kirschpunch (cherry punch). It is made with all alcohol ... no fillers!  White wine serves as the base with rum and cherry liquor (perhaps kirschwasser) added ... all with fresh cherries floating in the mixture.  

Needless to say, the "hoochie mama" was VERY impressed!

Oh it was SOOOOOOOOO good! Maybe we'll try to make this when we get home.

That sounds yummy, especially since today the real feal temperature is -9! My kitchen is freezing, I either have to bake or stay in the living room. Do you get to keep the cup?
